How to use Letroz Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Letroz 2.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Letroz Tablet works
Letroz 2.5mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.

- Letrozole should not be given to children and adolescents up to 17 years of age.
- Do not drive or operate heavy machinery as you feel dizzy, tired, drowsy or unwell while taking letrozole.
- Do not take letrozole if you are allergic to letrozole or any other ingredient of tablet or intolerance to some sugars (lactose).
- Do not take letrozole if you still have menstrual periods; severe liver or kidney disease; history of or are susceptible to brittle bones (osteoporosis) or bone fracture.
- Avoid using letrozole if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Letroz 2.5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breastfeeding is not advisable.

Driving
Letroz 2.5mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney
SAFE
Letroz 2.5mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Letroz 2.5mg Tablet is recommended. However, there is limited information on the use of this medicine in patients with end stage kidney disease. Please consult with your doctor.

Liver
CAUTION
Letroz 2.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Letroz 2.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
What if you miss a dose of Letroz Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Letroz 2.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
