Common
Nausea, Vomiting, Loss of appetite, Low blood platelets, Hair loss, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Diarrhoea, Discoloration of urine, Mucosal inflammation, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth), Febrile neutropenia, Decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils).

CIPRUBICIN 50MG INFUSION is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancer cells and stops their growth and multiplication.

Expert advice for Ciprubicin Infusion
- Use appropriate contraception during treatment with epirubicin, if you are women of childbearing potential.
- Male patients should not to father a child during and for 6 months after stopping epirubicin treatment.
- Inform you doctor if you have or had suffered problems with your heart, liver or if you have severe infection such as urinary infection.
- Do not drink fluids for 12 hours before the treatment if epirubicin is to be used in the bladder.
- Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Taking Epirubicin together with alcohol may cause liver problems.

Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
CIPRUBICIN 50MG INFUSION is unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation
UNSAFE
CIPRUBICIN 50MG INFUSION is unsafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breastfeeding is not advisable.

Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. CIPRUBICIN 50MG INFUSION may cause episodes of nausea and vomiting, which can temporarily lead to an impairment of the ability to drive.

Kidney
CIPRUBICIN 50MG INFUSION is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of CIPRUBICIN 50MG INFUSION may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. Lower doses may be considered in patients with serum creatinine > 5 mg/dL.

Liver
CAUTION
CIPRUBICIN 50MG INFUSION should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of CIPRUBICIN 50MG INFUSION may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of CIPRUBICIN 50MG INFUSION is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
